TUCAN is an api for abstract messaging that is written in C++ and built on top of CORBA. Due to the use of CORBA it can be extended with various languages. TUCAN represents messages like emails, voice mails, calendar entries, etc. in an abstract way so they can be passed around the system and viewed in various formats. TUCAN development was started by TGF Linux Communications but is an open source project and available for public use. TUCAN is still very young and there are many features that have not yet been added. Please feel free to make suggestions and to help out with development. We are releasing TUCAN with the hope that it will actually be useful for others out there. So, download and enjoy!
